The question I have is I seen alot of people with +20 spirit on their weapon (mostly druids) instead of +22 int. Is there a reason one way or another why one is better than another?

My thought is .. since int = mana .. would u want alot of mana if u do spells (healing, moonfire. starfire, changing form which cost alot of mana?)

If somone could explain the benifits of +20 spirit, it would be great. So, while the guards was trying to kick my ass, I quickly used ice-block,and converted the group to raid. When I did this, I got teleported to the inside, but to my surprise the guards followed me inside and killed me there.Luckily my Twisting Nether trinket procced, and I was able to ressurect (I doubt that this is needed to make the bug trigger though). To my even bigger surprise I discovered that the instance was completly empty. No mobs, nothing, except buildings and terrain. The only structual thing that was missing was my enchanters tower. Hakkars tower was also different, and the tiger boss site looked a bit strange. The panther boss pyramid was also messed up, and when I tried climbing down the last stairs to the boss, I was moved to the bottom of the 3d structure, and was able to see only some of the polygons representing the pyramid. But, when I moved a few steps back everything seemed 'fairly' normal. The only way I was able to enter the boss' room was to use blink, but the panther did not appear even though I 'banged the gong' several times ;)When I looked in my social tab, I saw that I was located in STW, which also the map and different channels confirmed.

After exploring the instance for about an hour I decided to leave through the instance portal, but when I 'entered' this time I got teleported to a populated, working version of ZG.

How to solo your way to the enchanter in ZG:I discovered that it is possible to get to the enchanter (I wanted a presence of sight enchant on my netherwind crown) by first swimming in the river on the right side of the instance portal. When you get to the first right turn in the river, swim on the bottom of it so that you do not aggro the blue serpent. At the end of the lake, climb up on the left side, and jump down to the bridge (make sure there are no patrols there before you jump). Use the bridge to go to the other side, and take left when you get there. You should have a safe spot there where can mount up, and wait for the human patrol to pass you. In short the only thing left to do is keeping close to the snake boss building, and ride like hell when you pass the serpents around the corner of the snake boss entrance. The enchanters tower is located on the back side of the snake boss building btw.I managed to get the presence of sight reward without a soul shard, but I would strongly reccomend bringing one.

Never Play PUGs In WSG/AB

All you have to do is start a party, (raid of 10 for wsg, raid of 15 for AB) and have some of your members go in the game once you Q up. If you see that the other side (horde/alliance) is coming in sporaticly, and without and High Warlords or Warlords, then its probably a PUG. Howeverm if you do see the Warlords, then just /AFK out of it and tell the rest of the group. The leader of the party must stay out for this process. heres the hint in step formExample for AB

1.Form a raid of 15

2.Join the Q

3. Have a memeber go into the game first and check if the other side is a pug or not

4.If it is a pug, get every1 in on raid chat.

5.If its not a PUG then just have your group /afk out.

6.If its not a PUG after you /afk out, then just have the leader Re-Q

Stuff From Other Sites

Ok. I have a beef. I've seen a few threads locked because of posting stuff from other sites. These other sites have all of our stuff, but we can't see theirs. Hmmm.... Sounds like I need to subscribe to another site and see it ALL.

Instead of deleting the threads, they need to be re-written as a unique strategy instead of locking.

The raiding stormwind post is a great example of a so/so strategy that got added to to become an even more interesting strat. It had a Warlock death running to a secret place, then stealthing rogues to that spot, then summon the whole group. I thought it was great.

So why isn't that re-written into a unique MPS thread, or is that not a MPS employee job?

I guess what I'm getting at, is I subscribe for strategies and exploits no matter where they come from.

Fastest Way To Level Up A Hunter Pet?

I thought this was posted somewhere before, but I was lost in like 8 pages of search results.
I have a 55 orc hunter spec'd BM and figured it'd be cool to go back an tame Broken Tooth for his 1.00 attack speed to mess around with some PvP stuff. After a day or two of looking for him, he finally spawned right in front of me... Sweet.

Ok, so now I thought, time to level this guy up FAST! So I turned around and started killing the crag coyotes and other high level 30's. After about 10 I wanted to see how fast BT's XP was going and, ugh, it wasn't. Even tho the creatures are over him (he's level 37), nothing. So I remembered back and thought, hmm, maybe the mob had to be in 'my xp range'. So I head back to Tanaris and I start killing level 44-45's.

Now BT gets around mid-380 xp a kill. Problem is, he's now almost 10 levels below the mob's I'm going after, and is getting wrecked. And even my auto-attack break aggro. Now I've gone thru a few levels with him (he's level 39 now, I'm still 55) and going from memory have him trained with growl 3, bite 5/claw 5. He still can't hold aggro, so I let him take a few swings, then aimed shot, concussive shot, scorpid sting... then melee the mob down.

It doesn't seem like a very efficient way to do this, it takes about an hour a level to level BT. Is there any better way to do this? Or is it the price I have to pay for being dumb and not taming him sooner? Heh.

Healing Bot?

I apologize if I'm not allowed to post this since it's not a guide or something similar, it's more of an inquiry. I'm too lazy, no uh in a hurry is the right term, to read the forum guidelines. Me and my wife are currently playing a paladin and a warlock with separate accounts and I'm about to open a 3rd account and transfer my priest there (once char xfers are enabled). We have level 60s in everyl class except a warlock so having 3 accounts will give us more flexibility with pairing (we spend most of our time duoing). I can easily make a healing macro for the priest and bind it on the function keys and have her auto-follow us and she'll be on the 3rd computer beside us - so if somebody needs a heal we just hit that F-key.

My question, is someone aware of any healing bot (or addon???) for priests that renews, heal and shield (you can set this to a certain trigger, ie. x% hp) without a click of a mouse or a press of a key? Also, because of the behavior of what the bot does, I assume this is undetectable since the priest is always with us - we just don't have enough hands to control the character (we can but we rather have it automated - less to worry about).

Right now we are able to duo low to mid level instances (whenever green) but I am expecting it will be tough once we get to higher level instances once we level up more. We killed VC when we were 24, got to pummeler in gnomer when we were 32 and will try thermaplug once we are 38 - all with no wipes. With the priest I am hoping we can trio up to scholo/strath/etc., once level cap is increased to 70.

It's not that we don't like to group with others it's just that we just had our first daughter so we're afk a lot and we can't do that when grouped.

MPS Quest: WoW Epic Mounts

For more information on MPS Quests in general, MPS leveling...related level badge and other information visit the announcement about this exciting new feature!

index.cfm?page=topic&forumid=26&topicID=33651&categoryid=12

ARE YOU WORTHY?Welcome Adventurer! These gorillas are fairly easy to kill and drop lots of valuable vendor trash like their whiskers and regularly drop greens and some blues. Just on the gray trash items alone you can make around 10g an hour just grinding here.

My next favorite is the troll temple in Eastern Plaguelands. I guess this place is just so far away that no one seems to want to bother with it. These trolls drop lots of green items, the occasional blue, and I know friends who have seen epics drop off of them as well. They’re good for runecloth and powerful mojo as well. The other nice perk of this area is that it’s full of thorium (4 rich weins) and high end herbs also.

Deadwind Pass is also great for farming for items. No one really is here when I farm it. I’d expect to see farmers or just others players hanging out here but no one ever really is. There are a ton of high level ogres with great loot and when you go down to the Karazhan area you will find a haunted town that has humanoids that drop great coin and runecloth.

Arcane crystals will skyrock with prices since it is required for Tier3 items here is 2 best spots:
Hearthglen Mine that is in Northern Western Plaguelands. There is often one rich thorium vein outside the mine and then another 2 inside of it. Thy all seem to have a very fast respawn time and the ones inside the mine are guarded by groups of 2 non-elite miners that most classes can easily distract or solo. I have seen 2 arcane crystals drop from just one of these veins!

The second of my favorite locations is in Southern Winterspring near the barred off entrance to the unopened Hyjal area. This is in the dangerous Darkwhisper Gorge. It is full of level 60 and 61 elites that hit really hard but I have successfully walked the entire way to the end without stealth and it can be done if you are careful. Obviously if you can feign death or stealth it gets even easier. There are usually an additional 4-5 (yes!) rich thorium veins in this area.

Great Gold + Xp (alliance 10-17)

This is meant for early level night elf characters, but others wanting to make the trip to darkshore will benefit, as will higher levels looking for some quick cash for no risk and little effort.

I recently started a character on a new server to play with someone i know irl, this time picking a night elf druid. I have played horde up to about level 30 and alliance up to 60 and this is probably the best spot i've found for any particular level bracket.

Moonkin in darkshore are scattered around some caves east of town. They vary in level from 11 up to 14. They are great for xp and gold.

* They go down easily and don't do a lot of damage
* They don't run to bring adds when near death
* Most of them can be taken one on one

and this is the best bit

* High drop rate of light feathers and small eggs

A stack of feathers on the auction house for alliance on blackrock or darkspear goes for over 6g. I've sold 3 stacks already and none of them have lasted more than a couple of hours at 6g buyout before someone has snatched them up. As an experiment I took my druid at level 18 back to this area just now. It only took 25 minutes to get a stack of 20. 6g for 25 minutes work as a level 18 character - that's great! Once you hit level 17 you stop getting xp from the level 11 moonkin, and when you hit 18 only about half of most groups will give you any xp since that's how many are level 11 or 12. If the servers weren't down for maintenance now i'd get back on with my 60 priest just to see how quickly i could get a stack of feathers.

The small eggs are good for levelling up cooking (if you are so inclined). In the time it took me to get that stack of feathers above, i collected more eggs than feathers (25-30 total, i think).

Grinding this area alone for xp and feathers you would easily pick up enough eggs along the way to get you past the apprentice level of cooking, and it'd only cost you a handful in silver for mild spices plus the apprentice cooking ability cost.

The combined xp, gold and cooking advancement makes this, to me, the best area around for advancing through a few levels. I wish i'd gotten there around level 11 or 12 instead of questing up to about 15.

Blackrich Depths?

Another stealth strat, and probably my last one for awhile, so make some good use of it.
Dark Iron farming is pretty well known by rogues and some skilled druid. But, this strat calls for a combination of farming dark iron and a solo fight vs incendious.

As you enter BRD, take a left, use a key or lockpicking to open the gate. Stealth past the mobs and hit the dark iron nodes as you go by.

*** BEWARE THE DOGS, THEY SEE THROUGH STEALTH***

Now that you have gotten the DI ore, head to incendious, attack him with your back facing the large anvil in the center of the room. With your back to the anvil you will not be knocked off the platform, and it will ensure a victory. Depending on your Fire Resist, you may need a potion.
INCENDIUS has a chance to drop an ace of elementals, depending on your server's market, it may sell for several hundred gold. Not to mention his loot sells decent regardless.

I will be creating/editing a video to show this strat in depth, stay tuned for 1/2 days.

Superb Pharm/xp For Lvl58+(Mage/Priest Only Tested

*apologies if this has already been posted but I didn't have time to weed through 1000's of posts*

Quel'Lithien Lodge is the place and this is Horde only. I personally levelled from 58 to 60 here and averaged over 30k xp per hour (no rested bonus) and made loads of gold.

Who can do this?

I have done this with my Shadow spec priest and my friend with his flaming mage :) You need to be able to do a LOT of damage in a short space of time, so maybe rogues can. My warlock friend found it inefficient for him though.

How does it work?

-Fight your way up the pathway to the lodge. You'll need to kill the 2 guards outside the entrance but ignore the 3 patrolling. -Once killed, park yourself inside the lodge entrance on the right next to some boxes. If you stay there the guards outside won't aggro and nor will the mobs inside.***The one time this doesn't work is if the rare spawn is inside, and he will aggro you** OK, you are now faced with :

A patrol of 2 that goes from left to rightThe others inside are not linked so can be taken on their own as long as you don't do stupid stuff with your pulls.OK - to start with you'll need to take the two stationary mobs on the pillars in front of you. Time your attack so that the patrol has the furthest to walk before getting into aggro range (i.e. if killing the left one, wait till patrol is heading right)After killing these two, take out the patrol. Mages can poly and wipe, for Priests open with a MB and SWP on lower level, quickly switch to higher level and use SWP and DP. Switch back to lower level and wipe it. Then kill higher level who should be less than 1/2 health by now.Now you own the place! DON'T KILL THE PROTECTORS TO THE RIGHT, THEY ARE LINKED AND ARE TOO TOUGH TO MAKE IT WORTHWHILE.Kill the rest of the gey elves inside (excluding the two above) and then you are on top of the spawn. The elves respawn randomly, so just keep on top of things but be wary of the patrol.

At 58 I was able to comfortably hold the spawn inside, at 59 i was also able to bring the two guards into my kill cycle. They both come 1 at a time, but time it because of the patrolling 3 outside.

These elves drop loot from the standard loot table. During my time there I picked up 3 travelers backpacks (20g each) in addition to loads of greens, major mana pots, cash and LOADS of Runecloth. As a disenchanter I found that some of these greens gave me high level disenchants like greater eternal essence, though most were illusion dust and dream dust.

I personally liked this place as not many people go there, Runecloth is 2g a stack on my server, the disenchants are even better plus a constant 30k+ p/h xp is awesome.

Great Farming For Rogues 60-90g Per Hour

This is my frist post on the site and i hope it is helpfull.PS: im not the best speller
Backround Info: the target is Razorfen Downs located in the southern barrens, this instance is for about levels 35-45.

To do this run you need to be a rogue lvl 60 (maybe a bit below) and you also need to have enchantingWhen you enter the instance go into stealth and follow the map outlined (it may be a bit incorrect but u get the idea, just get to the last boss)

http://img295.imageshack.us/my.php?image=86full4fy.jpg

When you get to the part labeled 4 look around for the boss there (he is hard to miss) and kill himhe should drop a blue item, next go back into stealthed and travel to the top of the spiral and get to the main boss of RFD.the way to kill him is to keep your back to the little cave like thing that he stands infront of other wise you will get knocked off the mountain.start out with cheap shot to stun him and just start spaming skills, once he summons he minons use evasion. (you might want to bring some healing pots just incase)if done right he should die and drop 2-3 blue items

now comes the money making partyou should have 3-4 blue items in your bag now and this is were enchanting comes in. use the skill disenchanting on the blue itemsthe should all disenchant into small radiant shards which sell for 10-15g on my sever.once you get get at this it should only take about 10 mins to complete which is about 60-90g per hour PLUS sometimes a green will drop along with blues which could also sell on the AHi suggest selling the small radiant shards for 10g so that people will chose yours over others and selling them in stacks of 1 or 2 will also increase the buying rate.

PLZ reply to this and i hope it works for all rogues sorry to other classes

Arcane Missile Super Long Range Exploit

With 1.7 a bug was introduced where you can use your arcane missiles on targets that would normally be way out of range. To do it, start by targetting any mob that is in normal range and start casting. Very quickly, click on the far away target. Your camera will change as it normally would to follow your first target, but your missiles will keep going and actually do damage to the out of range target. Be careful using this though, it is considered an exploit and is obviously very noticeable if you use it in PVP.

How To Get Exalted With Darnassus Part Deux

You need to turn in 60 wool, 60 silk, 60 mageweave first to the cloth collector located in the tailor shop in the trade district of daranasus.

The object of this quest which is obtainable at level 50 is the runecloth part, but only after you do the wool, silk and mageweave parts and are at least level 50 first.

Your initial turn in is 60 runecloth for about 6k XP and about 160 rep bonus. But this quest is repeatable at this point for only 20 runecloth each for a bonus of 50 faction rep.

Now the fun part is if your human. you get 55 faction rep.

if you do the math. its 21,000 rep from revered to exhalted. at 55 faction a trip, it will take you 382 stacks of runecloth to hit exhalted. at roughly 1.5g / stack, your looking at 573g to hit exhalted, which should be ALOT cheaper than trying to aquire 13k soil =P
Sorry if your not human. but you got more trips than that, but its still cheaper than collection soil and seeds.

Keep in mind this is only after you turn in the initial 60 wool, silk, mageweave and runecloth.
Also you can do this for EACH faction. Stormwind has a guy in the mage district that takes this, and IF has the dwarven and gnomish collectors also. And the horde has their respective quests for this too.

And if your just in for XP, at 50, when you get this quest. you would need 240 wool, 240 silk, 240 mageweave, and 240 runecloth, you would get roughly 25k XP and 160 faction rep for each faction.

IMO this is a much better way to hit exhalted with any of the main factions.
enjoy.

How To Get Exalted With Darnassus

can be long to get... I am level 18 rogue and i swam about 20 minutes to reach the little town. There are NO sharks, NO mobs, the passage was completely safe. But, it is contested area, so be careful... i was in stealth the whole time in booty bay.

Once in Booty Bay you swim towards a ramp that fell in the water (about middle of town). The old man Hemingway is up the ramp in the little house at your right and sells you the book for 1 gold. I could use the book (no level restriction) and had 150 skill of fishing.

Don't forget to talk to gryphin master who is at the top right. Either look for multiple quests that involve killing the same mobs, or look for multiple quests in the same areas. The more quests you can get done before running back to turn in, the faster your leveling will go. Also, remember to set your hearth to new places frequently. Every time you plan to level in a new place for more than an hour, set your hearth there, as the time saved by teleporting back to the nearest down instead of running is incredible.

Leveling Guides: James' Alliance Leveling Guide - http://www.wow-pro.com/Knowledge_Base/cat=135.html Joana's Horde Leveling Guide - http://files.filefront.com/1_60rar/;4993624;;/fileinfo.html Proxy/Vince's Mage Leveling Guide - http://home.comcast.net/~mxnvincent/mage.htm (Thanks Arandor for the link!)
While the last one is meant for mage, it shows some good grinding areas.
Summary: 1-9: Do your lowbie quests. Should take 2-3 hours.

10-29: Stack all your DoTs on a mob, send in the VW, stack all your DoTs on a second mob, and then wand the second mob to death. Repeat until low health, and then bandage/Consume Shadows. Each level should take about an hour, moving towards an hour and a half as you get closer to 30. If they are taking longer, figure out what the problem is (mobs too far apart, mobs have too much life, too much downtime) and move to an area that solves it.

30-39: Drain Tank: Load the mob up on DoTs, send in the Succubus, cast Drain Life while the mob beats on you, rinse and repeat.

40-49: Drain Tank, but instead of Life Tapping, use Dark Pact. A good rule of thumb is, DP only if your pet is over 50% mana, because if they run out it will slow your fighting time down. The easiest way to do this is to turn off all autocast abilities on your Succubus, and remember to DPing during the fight (rather than after) as a good time-saver because your DoTs will help keep up the DPS.

50-59: The Drain Tanking gets even better now. By Demonic Sacrificing your pet, you are able to regen even more life per fight, keeping up with increasing monster damage, while still 'Tapping up to full mana whenever you want because of the passive regen.
60: You are now specced SM/DS, which is generally accepted to be best grinding spec. Do whatever killing you need to do, grind factions etc., and then respec to your high-level build of choice.

Equipment Choice: "I found that during early levels it was best to focus on +sta, and at around 35 or so to switch to +shadow or +dmg. If you are specced into affliction and are draintanking, +dmg will be vastly superior to +sta. You kill the mobs much faster for the same mana, and heal yourself that much faster." -Clutchsama

It's my personal opinion that up until about level 40 you should stack +sta and "of the Eagle" gear. At 30, start looking for Shadoweave gear, and around 40 switch into it. Full Shadoweave can be made by tailors, and will give a bonus of +114 shadow damage, along with some Int and Sta, and can be equipped at level 44.

In general, while using Dark Pact I stack as much +damage gear as possible, and while using Demonic Sacrifice, I stack as much +sta gear as possible, while keeping a minimum of +100 dmg.

Warlock: 81 Talent Points

Currently there is bug, where you can respec from MD/ruin to SM/ruin and keep the MD active-pet talents (+dam, threat reduction etc etc).

So if you are MD/ruin, try and re-spec to SM/ruin and enjoy insta-DOTs and -20% threat :)

Easy Gold Once A Day: Teremus The Devourer

I'm sure many of you have visited the Blasted Lands at some point and have noticed the large dragon that always seems to sneak up behind you while you are questing/farming? Well, if you and a few of your friends are level 60, then you have found an ample source of gold.

Teremus is a weak boss dragon, it only takes 4-5 people to kill him. He has been done by 2 people before, but they were fully decked in epic gear. I have just done him for the first time today with 4 other people 5 total) and although the battle is long, he is relatively easy and simple. He drops an item: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=8244, sometimes up to 4 from a single kill. Then you take that item, and turn it in to: http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/mob.html?wmob=7363. He will give you a bag, and inside the bag is a random lvl 40-49 Blue or Epic BoE. That's right, a BoE, so you can sell it on the AH. Today, I got 2 crystals, so I turned both of them in and received 2 Blue BoEs, worth about 50g on my server. Like I said, they are random BoEs, so it is possible to get a weapon that would be worth much more gold, or even an epic weapon that will be worth a LOT more.

Now to explain the battle itself. You definitely need a Warrior for this battle, and I will explain why later. Teremus is immune to Silence, Stuns, Battle Shouts, DoT spells (that's right! No DoTs), some Mage spells, and I would suppose Poisons too. The only think I (the lvl 60 Warrior) was able to use on Teremus was Taunt and Sunder Armor. This battle is very long because of the fact that you can not use DoTs on him for extra DPS. In addition, every time he uses his flame attack, everyone who gets damaged by it heals Teremus, so stay out of the way of the Flame Breath! The healing he gets from this attack is substancial comparing it to the DPS you are able to use on him. Every 30 seconds or so, he will use a Knockback attack on the Warrior and his aggro list will reset, and will probably attack the nearest Mage or Warlock. Whoever gets aggro is to run towards the Tank, so he/she can use Taunt and Sunder Armor to regain aggro. After that, you just follow through the motions and whittle him down.

Suggested Group: Warrior, Mage, Hunter, Priest/Druid, Shaman/Paladin.The reason for the supporting healer class (Paladin/Shaman) is because this battle is very long. Your Main Healer will probably run out of mana, so you need a supporting healer to step up while the Main Healer gets some mana back.

Teremus respawns daily, so you can redo him over and over for some nice loot.

I hope you all enjoy this strategy. This is my first posted strategy, so comments/questions are appreciated.

Find GM's/Hackers FAST

Very easy, all you do is type /who gm island, and you'll get a list of players, who are either gms or hackers.....i found this out from cosmos, i don't see any good uses right now, but if you can think of something, go for it

Plan Now, Get Ridicously Rich In BC Exp

Ok folks, the release of Burning Crusade is a mere 9-10 weeks away!

Let's recap your current situation. At this point you're level 60.....a PVP king and just sitting back waiting for the BC expansion pack. Well, I'm sure you realize thousands upon thousands of players on your server(s) are sitting on a boatload of gold just waiting to get their hands on the new slotted objects/trinkets/armor that will be coming with the expansion. The question is, do you want to compete with them in the AH to purchase these items, or do you want to be the entrepreneurial chap who has stockpiled the components to make these new items? Hopefully you do realize the demand will be staggering for these components! Time to prepare to get rich! Notice I said prepare, it's time to horde (no pun intended) reagents in preparation for the new item crafting/buying rush!

From the little bit of recipe info leaked it seems many of the new items won't stray too far from the components already needed. Specifically thorium and arcanite crystals will be in high demand! The one item I've found with specific statistics which will only be able to be crafted in the expansion is an "Arcanite Sword Pendant" which you will be able to drop into a slotted sword......and get this. It will add +40 STR! Woah!

Now how many thorium bars will such a craftable item require? Not sure, but it will surely be quite a bit! So essentially it's time to start mining thorium ore like a madman and stockpiling thorium bars! My prediction is thorium will be selling for 500% more than it currently is on the AH once crafting gets rolling on the new items. Demand will be extremely high for thorium and arcanite bars, and arcane crystals (required for the transmuting). So get to stockpiling!

Here are the locations for the RICH THORIUM VEINS all you miners should be picking away at.

http://www.thottbot.com/?i=5892

And now for the ARCANE CRYSTAL farming spots.

http://www.thottbot.com/?i=5924

Stockpile these 2 resources like madpeople for the next few months. You won't be sorry you did! I'll be keeping an eye out for other leaked recipes, but it's a pretty safe bet you should be stockpiling level 60 reagents in general! Herbalists, go get that Wild Thornroot and SAVE it!

http://www.thottbot.com/?i=5924

That is all for now. :) More to come. Go quickly, become miners if you must! Well worth it!

Warrior Macro: Charge DURING Combat.

Have Fun :-). YOU MUST SPAM IT though, like press it a lot of times quickly for it to go, not a problem though. If you manage to get all 6 points uncontested you can easily harvest 8 Essence of Water in under 30 minutes.

Massive EPL Honor

Not sure if this has been posted or not.

Not sure about all the other servers but on mine the EPl towers are rarely camped or people never even bother with them.

PVE servers are the best to do this on but it can be done on a PVP also.

1) The thing to do is cap a tower but only just enough to get the honor (189) not the whole way accross the bar.

2) Have a friend on the oposite faction then go and move the bar back to Neutral (or back to his faction if you both want honor, this method will take a little longer) then start from step 1 again.
It takes 8 seconds for the bar to move from 1 bit from your faction to Neutral then 8 seconds to move back to get the honor surge so 189 honor every 16 seconds or so.

Rogues! Pickpocket Gold Strat!

While there's lots of strats out there for making gold, it's easy to overlook the obvious and simple. Rogue Pickpocketing is one of these often overlooked abilities that can make you more gold than you realize... often in very short amounts of time.

Taking 5/5 in Master of Deception is a good option anyway, but it definitely helps in thievery. Get Nightscape boots as well (craftable by most mid-upper level LW) as they add +1 bonus to stealth. 30+ mobs seem to carry an average of 2-3s each, plus mana and healing pots, as well as merchant fodder that sells for 1-2.5 silver each. At higher level mobs, you'll even snag the occassional gemstone, and virtually all mobs will often give a Junkbox or Lockbox, which is invaluable in increasing lockpicking skills.

Go to an area full of NPCs that have pickable pockets. These include, surprisingly enough, skellies, ghouls, and other undead, Furblogs and timbermaw, and virtually any humanoid attackable NPC. But here's a special little spot I've found where I make easily 5-10 gold in 20 minutes or less.

In BRD, after your group leaves, you can stay behind by yourself WITHOUT getting booted back to your hearth spot. THIS WORKS ONLY IF YOU SUCCESSFULLY DID THE ARENA, although you can try it with a higher probability of aggro otherwise. Go to the gallery that holds the spectators for the Arena (Ring of Law). They will not aggro you if you successfully defeated the challenge, and you can stealth and pickpocket the entire gallery (approximately 40 NPCs) with ease, with each npc holding between 3-4.5 silver. That alone is 1.2-1.7 gold, but I get 4-6 Superior healing pots, 4-5 Heavy Lockboxes, merchant trash (another 20-30s), AND a Star Ruby EVERY TIME.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://wowgoldnow.blogspot.com/2006/09/rogues-pickpocket-gold-strat.html' title='Rogues! Let me just start off by saying that there are many ways to make gold from the mining and/or blacksmithing profession and you can certainly use this as a starting point for developing other methods. However, this guide will focus on getting you to mining level 125 and blacksmithing level 75. This guide will assume that you keep up with the training from the respective trainer to obtain the abilities discussed below.

MINING BACKGROUND

Mining consist of finding metal veins, collecting ore, and then smelting that ore into bars. A miner gets the ability to smelt and/or mine various metals at various levels. You can smelt the following metals at the following levels:

Mining Level 1: CopperMining Level 65: TinMining Level 65: Bronze (1 bronze bar = 1 copper bar + 1 tin bar)Mining Level 75: SilverMining Level 125: IronMining Level 155: GoldMining Level 165: Steel (1 steel bar = 1 iron bar + 1 coal)Mining Level 175: Mithril

All of the above metals will produce one bar of the metal for one piece of ore when smelted. You can frequently get 4-5 pieces of ore from a single vein. There are other metals (truesilver and thorium) that can make you a TON of money, but I haven’t reached those levels yet so I will wait until I can develop a strategy for them before updating this guide.

Along with the metal, you also get various stones and gems from the veins, shown below:
- Copper veins: Rough Stones, Malachite, Shadowgem, Tigerseye- Tin Veins: Coarse Stones, Jade, Lesser Moonstone, Moss Agate, Shadowgem- Silver Vein: Lesser Moonstone, Moss Agate, Shadowgem- Iron Veins: Heavy Stones, Aquamarine, Citrine, Jade, Lesser Moonstone- Gold Veins: Jade, Lesser Moonstone- Mithril Veins: Solid Stone

So, as you can see, you will be collecting a lot of “stuff” from mining. The only thing directly useable by you is the ore as a miner. Everything else is used by blacksmiths and some other professions in some cases. Therefore, I chose to also become a blacksmith. As you will see, there is definitely money making synergy, even if you don’t you’re your blacksmithing products to other players.

MINING STRATEGY

First, as you will see above, you will only be able to mine and smelt copper until level 65. Luckily, you will get mining xp from both mining AND smelting for most, if not all, of this time. Therefore, clear out as much space as you can in your inventory and go to a lower level area. Just hunt around the foot hills for copper veins and collect ore, stones and gems until your inventory is full. I would go to the easiest area you can find so you don’t have to worry about mobs that much. For instance, see here for a map of copper veins in Elwynn Forest, near Stormwind. http://www.thottbot.com/?m=1108

Everything stacks so you will have a lot of material when you are full. In my inventory, I typically have 40 open slots (with my backpack full of other stuff and four 10 slot bags open. Theoretically you can fill each slot of the 40 with ore, stones and gems. If you do this, when you are done, you will probably have something like 3 slots of gems, 17 slots of ore and 20 slots of rough stone. It all depends on the drop rate of stone, but this is probably about right as the stone drops 2-3 sometimes and the ore typically drops one at a time. Your mileage may vary. You should note that, when smelting you will need at least one slot open for the bars to go into – as you use up the ore, it will open up another slot.

Once you are done, go to your local forge and just smelt away to make copper bars. At this point, without blacksmithing, just sell the bars, stone, gems either at auction or at vendor and rinse and repeat. The bars only sell for 10 copper and the stone only sells for 2 copper each.

BETTER STRATEGY: SYNERGY WITH BLACKSMITHING

Here’s where you can begin to see the synergy that blacksmithing can add. First, unless you really need the money from selling the gems, I would suggest banking them – they sell for good money to a vendor, typically, but you will definitely need them for armor and weapons later. Ore and stones are easy to get, gems are not since the drop rate is somewhat low. I would also save a good amount of the rough stone since blacksmiths will be able to make rough grinding stones at level 25, which are necessary for some blacksmithing plans. However, this is up to you. At level 25, making rough grinding stones is an excellent way to level.

And here is a key point: as a blacksmith, you should only make things that don’t use a lot of resources and, at the same time, are the highest difficulty available (orange, yellow, green is the order of difficulty). If you run out of orange, yellow is OK, but you won’t level as quickly. Green is very inefficient. Eventually things will “grey” out and won’t give you xp. Note that you will always get one level for each thing you make that is orange in difficulty, regardless how many resources it requires. Therefore, for leveling it don’t use gems to make something when you could get the same level by just using copper.

Therefore, I suggest you use the copper bars as a blacksmith to make copper chain pants ( see http://www.thottbot.com/?i=272 ). You can make copper chain pants from level 1 and they only require 4 copper bars. So, now for the synergy: copper chain pants sell to vendors for 67 copper – so with a little more effort, you can make 67 copper instead of 40 copper from just selling the four bars (a 68% profit difference). Keep making these pants out of copper bars until you reach level 25. I don’t remember how many pants it takes to get to level 25, but assuming it is about 35 or so, that would be about 140 iron ore, or 7 stacks.

You will get other recipes but all of them require additional resources. The only thing I would consider is making copper boots at level 20. These require 8 copper bars and no other resources. However, you will lose profit by making them – 8 copper bars would sell for 80 copper to a vendor and the boots only sell for 49 copper. However, they will also give you more xp than the pants at level 20. This minimal loss is enough to get you to level 25, which is where you can make rough grinding stones. Rough grinding stones sell to a vendor for 5 copper, while the rough stones only sell for 2 copper (a 150% profit difference). They will also give you good xp for a while, so just make these until they turn yellow in difficulty.

Note that the above examples assume you will sell the items to a vendor. The pants and boots should definitely go to a vendor since it is not worth selling them at auction. However, the rough grinding stones are in demand because they are required as blacksmithing components. Therefore, you may find it desirable to sell them on auction depending on the market at your server. I don’t have the specifics, but they will almost certainly sell for a decent amount above the vendor. It all depends on how much time you want to take setting up the auctions. I simply sold some to a vendor and kept some for myself.

Now things become a little fuzzy because there are so many options. But here is what I would suggest you use to level:

- Blacksmithing Level 35: Copper Chain Belt – 6 copper bars- Blacksmithing Level 40: Runed Copper Gauntlets – 8 copper bars, 2 rough grinding stones- Blacksmithing Level 45: Runed Copper Pants – 8 copper bars, 2 fine thread (buy from tailor vendor), 2 rough grinding stones
Some of this might be inefficient in terms of gaining xp because the difficulty of the item drops eventually, but these are the lowest cost items in terms of resources. Feel free to vary on what you use to level, but try to keep your costs down as much as possible.

At mining level 65, you get the ability to mine tin, which also drops coarse stones. Once again save the gems and coarse stones. After this level of mining is reached, use the following to level in blacksmithing:

Blacksmithing Level 65: Coarse Sharpening Stone – 1 coarse stoneBlacksmithing Level 75: Coarse Grinding Stone – 2 coarse stones

END GOAL OF THIS GUIDE: MINING LEVEL 125, BLACKSMITHING LEVEL 75:
At level 75 in blacksmithing, you get the ability to make Coarse Grinding Stones. As far as mining goes, continue to mine whatever will give you xp (tin, silver, gold, etc). At level 125 in mining, you get the ability to mine/smelt iron. This is where you can make some serious money. Eventually copper and tin will grey out, as will smelting entirely. However, you will still get xp from mining silver, gold and, the goal of this guide in mining: Iron., which you will obtain at level 125 in mining.

And here, finally is where the cash really starts rolling in. Iron bars on my server sell for a buyout of 2 gold per stack and there is not much supply for sale out there. Last night there was one auction with a buyout of 1 gold 75 silver, 4 auctions with a buy out of 2 gold and 1 auction with a buyout of 7 gold (what WAS he thinking lol). Thus, there were only 6 auctions for Iron Bars. Given that I had 8 stacks of 20 iron bars that I had accumulated, I could have made a killing. But I only sold one at 1 gold 75 silver (just for kicks) and it sold very quickly. Therefore, if you are interested in easy money, just mine iron, smelt the bars and sell them at auction. No cost to you at all, other than time!

If you were to just find iron veins and throw away everything but the ore (bad idea because other things are very valuable also), you could fill up each slot in your inventory with 20 ore/bars. Assuming you spent enough time to fill up 40 slots in inventory, at 2 gold per stack this could theoretically net you 80 gold. That’s a lot of mining, but it’s easy money if you can put up with the grind.

Coarse grinding stones can also be sold for a good profit. While I haven’t sold any yet, there are NONE at the auction house right now and I hear people in ironforge frequently requesting them. I have asked myself, just see what the response will be, but no one ever had any for sale. Therefore, this is an untapped market. I will put up an auction tonight for coarse grinding stones and let you know how it goes.

The same strategy above can be extrapolated to heavy stone, mithril (which sells for 5 gold a stack) and other materials. But I have found that iron (iron ore) and tin (coarse stones) are the most plentiful veins in the game after copper. Therefore, I think this is sweet spot for money making.

Warriors Leveling Guide (1-60)

.... A Warriors Leveling Guide (1-60)

I've been reading all the threads here on (in the wow forums that is) for the last 6 months. Not many leveling guides or help for warriors and in fact a few threads asking for them. Well I tend to be a masochist in picking classes that I love but don't have any ups (faster traveling, free mounts, healing, etc) thats why I tend to play a warrior or a priest.

Now for those rolling a warrior from scratch, hopefully this guild will help. I will give you the Horde point of view ( I hate alliance though I have played alliance chars up to 20 a few time but the basis is usually the same). Now I wrote this with the PVP player in mind so for PVE servers it will be much easier for you to level. In this guide you will also see a talent build to take what points to put in at what levels and when to respec for maximum efficiency.

When picking your race, it does not matter. It truly doesn't, in the end (PVP or PVE content) it comes down to skills. I will tell you I tend to pick an Orc, but any class has its ups and downs. Just pick what race you like.

Levels 1-6: Do all your quests in your starting zone. Its useful for rep and xp. When your done you should be level 5 so grind 6 away so you are more than prepared for the next zone.
Before you start your second zone go to the third, they tend to put quests in this zone for the second zone, so pick them all up and head to your second zone.

Level 7-11: Pick up all the quests and do them all. Not much thinking involved.

Levels 12-14: Third zone same thing here.

15-25: For Horde you will be doing Silverpine, Crossroads then finish up in Stonetalon do quests. Stay away from grinding. Levels 19-23 do a couple of Wailing Caverns runs for some xp, quests and loot and if you want SFK and BFD.

Big keys: Always do chain quests. They always end (well, the majority of the time) with a great reward. Also if you are a solo type, stay away from orange quests or quests that you can't do fairly easily. Wait until they are yellow or green. Always dump a grey quest. Also don't spend your gold, save for your mount. And go into cooking and first aid and fishing get those and keep those as high as you can because its basically free healling and minimizes your down time.
Levels 26-37: Thousand Needles and Shimmering Flats. Stay away from the quests that tell you to go to another zone. Finish as many quests you want. Also run Gnomeragan and SM up to Cath.

38-44: Everyones favorite.....STV, hahaha. Pick up quests in Booty Bay then head to Grom'Gol, don't forget to pick up the FP at the top of the build to the far right. Pick up all the quests in Grom'gol and try to do them all. Do SM runs for some no brainer xp and good loot. YOU WILL GET GANKED (on a pvp server) SO LIVE WITH IT.

45-50: Tanaris and Felwood are your friends. Do all the quests there and run ZF a few times for loot and xp.

50-54: Finish up your Tanaris and Felwood quests and if you havent and do Un'Goro. Pick up all the quests there and do them. There are a lot of alliance/horde, however they tend to leave you alone because they are either doing quests themselves or farming mats. I do suggest to take a buddy though. Start running Sunken Temple. Great loot and xp and if you are a skinner plenty dragons to skin.

55-57: I put off WPL till you are a higher level because on PVP servers this is gank central for high levels. Do quests there and in Wintersprings and don't forget to equip your argent dawn trinket when in the plaguelands. Don't turn in the scourge stones till after you get honored with argent dawn. Try to run BRD to get attuned to molten core and make sure you pick up the quest from the dead dwarve which you can only pick up when you are dead yourself to get the shadow forge key. BRD is your first taste of end game instancing. Very good loot and xp as well (if you are in a good group).

58-60: EPL and Silithus questing. If you want grind away but make sure you are rested if not just quest away.

There you have it. The key to level is knowing the quests and doing them. Thottbot or allakhazam is your friend. Plus questing doesn't make you go insane like mindless grinding does.
Now for the talent choices.....

Levels 10-14: Cruelty (Crit is always good)Levels 15-19: Unbridled Wrath (Gets you a lot of rage fast)Levels 20-24: Improved Battle Shout (Ups your DPS)Levels 25-29: Duel Wield Specialization (Ups your DPS againLevels 30-32: Improved Rend (More damage)Levels 33-34: Improved Heroic Stike (This will be your version of mortal strike or bloodthirst for the mean time use this and sunder armor always on mobs)Levels 35-36: Improved Charge (Gets you more rage now)Level 37: Improved Heroic StrikeLevels 38-39: Deflection (Not taking damage is always good)Levels 40-42: Deep Wounds (More damge=execellent)Levels 43-44: Improved Overpower (Critting on a rogue especially a night elf is fun)
When you hit level 45 you are going to respec.

Now what to respec at 45 to.....

Your will put 31 points into Fury:5 in Cruelty5 in Unbridled Wrath5 in Improved Battle Shout5 in Duel Wield Specialization5 in Enrage4 in Flurry1 in Deathwish and 1 in Bloodthirst
That leaves 5pts left what to put them in?

Put 5 in Anticipation from the defense tree....
wtf? why?

1pt of defense, and correct me if I am wrong or leaving out something gives you 0.4% chance to block, parry and dodge. With 5pts in anticipation it gives you 10 defense which in turn gives you 4% extra chance to block, parry and dodge.

Now I will suggest what else to put in up until level 59 so when you hit 60 you can put that last point in or respec.

Levels 46-47: Improved Beserker RageLevels 48-49: Improved BloodrageLevels 50-54: DeflectionLevels 55-59: ToughnessLevel 60 if you wish: Piercing Howl, its great in BG
Well hopefully this guide will help you out in leveling a warrior very fast and efficiently. I know it has worked for me.

Easy Gold, All You Need Is Patience.

I used to make a mint buying items low and selling them high on the auction, but i got tired of sitting around the org. Recently I discovered a little trick that lets me grind/quest and troll the org trade channel. All you have to do is create a new chat window and join the orgrimmar trade channel "Trade - Orgrimmar". This way you can go about your business AND keep an eye out for good deals. When you see something you like just relog as your alt.

This works especially well late at night when people become desperate to unload their rares, as nobody is on to buy them. Just make sure your Auctioneer scans are up to date.If you dont have auctioneer.... get it. Once you have a decent amount of capital you will make money like crazy and pick up some sweet gear at even sweeter prices.

Confession Of An AH Junkie...

This is something I've been doing myself for awhile and I'll just say: It's not for everyone and YMMV (I realize there have been a couple of other posts with this concept however I am going to attempt to explain exactly what has worked for me leaving as little guesswork as possible)
The concept and general description...For all of this to work you do have to have a base fund, the bigger the better. Aside from that I'd HIGHLY sugguest just taking some time when you play for a couple of weeks just watch the AH prices and some trade chat so you can get a feel for which items in particular are sought after and at what prices. The basis of this strat is to basically daytrade some of the more highly sought after items. I started off somewhat small and have "graduated" to some high ticket items since I am quite comfortable with my ability to recognize which items I will be able to resell for a good profit and I know that I have the patience to hold out to do so. Personally I prefer weapons and armor but this can be applied to other high commodity items as well.

If you want to make a noticeable amount of money you will have to focus on rares and epics and ensure that there is enough of a price difference between what you are paying and how much you can sell it for taking intto account the possibility of multiple days' listing fees. I currently only deal in items that sell for at least 50g and on which I will make at least 10-15g however keep in mind that this is simply a baseline and I frequently make over 50g per transaction (the most I've ever received from a single item is 125g minus listing fee and AH fee).

If you have the patience to do so you can also increase your profits by selling through the trade channel where you won't have to deal with the AH taking their cut or having an auction expire however keep in mind that you do want to keep items moving as quickly as possible while still making your profit as having liquid funds is essential to keeping money coming in.
While I am, of course, in this to make money I also give people the best deals I can (again, liquid funds are much more useful - profit is profit and you want to keep in mind that holding out for 5g more when you're making a good 25g on the sale already may simply result in you having the item for an extra few hours during which time you may miss out on another deal because you didn't have the funds to buy.... Again, this becomes all a matter of your understanding of what you need to have on you to keep business moving.

For these high ticket items, unless the particular item moves VERY quickly on your server, you will have to undercut the competition for the most part... ideally there will be no competition (however this is where your knowledge of the items value comes into play very significantly). If there is no competition the key point to keep in mind is people's need to have things right away, but also realize that people aren't stupid.... If you list an item for 100g min bid and have a 130g BO 9 times out of 10 you won't get boughtout unless there is high high demand for the item. People aren't stupid and an extra 30% off what they "could" get it for is alot... so, as a rule of thumb either keep your MB and BO the same or keep them more reasonably close... even though someone wouldn't pay the 130g with a 100g min list it at 120g with a 130g BO... this 10g jump is less than 10% difference (which also means that if 1 person bids on it anyway the next "min bid" to put on it would be 132g so you're going to get boughtout if there's multiple interest in the item).

You're patient... your buyers, however, often aren't.... 24hour listing keep you visible for maximum exposure and also result in more buyouts... that "Very Long" tag means 8-24hours remaining and if someone wants your item then more often then not they'll pay that extra little bit of gold to have it then and there
Tuesday is patch day! Try to time your auctions well and keep in mind that you're losing out on some of your money by listing on Monday nights.... The AH timer continues to run while the servers are down so you're losing out on a good chunk of the time you paid for your auction to be listed... don't get me wrong though, if you're not going to be able to get on Tuesday when the servers are back up to relist then by all means go ahead and list Monday nights.... I find Tuesdays to be a good time for the auction house especially after a patch where people will download it and logon to check out changes (and inevitably check out what goodies are listed for them on the AH

Again, I don't think this is for everyone as it does involve a time investment on your part as well as a starting bankroll, however for those who think they might like trying their hand at the market I wish you the best of luck and I hope this information is of some use to you. I know to some of you this seems like "obvious" information but believe me, I find myself helping my guild more with auctioning than with leveling because to them it's just a big mystery...

[Sweet Spot] Exploit Area 1: Westfall

I've been debating releasing this nice little secret, so please, PLEASE, try to keep this a secret, otherwise it might get recoded.

Note: Horde fellas, this is useless for you. Sorry.

WHERE/WHAT:
In Northweatern Westfall, running along the cliff, there is a lone windmill with a tiny shack at its base. It is surrounded by 6-7 Defias mobs, levels 12-13.

Whats the catch?
They respawn immediately. Get the drift?
WHAT LEVEL YOU SHOULD BE:

I would suggest 24+, however I was 33 when I discovered it, and it is still extremely useful when you reach 60.

WHAT TO USE THIS SPOT FOR:
1) Grinding/Maxing new weapon proficiencies...2) Leveling a toon (lvl 5-16)...and getting him rich, as well.3) Farming Linen. (For you linen clowns, I easily loot 100 linen in about 5 minutes).4) Farming these nice little nets that occasionally drop.

There are a lot of these little sweet spots in this game. Anyways its quite simple and can easily get you a thousand gold in a day with some luck. The target is dm west and basically every mob in the first room. You have to be a ranged class with a healthy mana pool. I do it on my warlock and it works great with dots. Couple of my buddies(priest, mage) also do it fairly easily.

The spot you are going to be farming at is the ramp leading down to tendris warpwood(the big tree guy). There is a ledge on each side of this ramp. The mobs you want to target are the groups of trees and the round blue caster things. You can do the larger patrolling trees but they do punt you back so if u screw up youll get punted to the bottom and die. Simply pull a group back to the ramp then hop on either ledge on the side of the ramp near the top. They will run all the way down to the bottom then back up the ledge. If you hop to the middle they will go back to the bottom again then come after you. Then when they start getting near hop to the other ledge. During this time just start casting the second you hop on or off a ledge. Just keep repeating this till the group is dead. One thing to note though is that the tree groups have a healer called a guardian i believe who is colored purple. Do not attack him first. If you attack the regular ones a bit the healer will then begin to heal him but stays locked on him. After the first heal u can then down the healer then down everything else. It takes a bit to get used to but once u have it down its cake. Just gotta have patience with the pulls in between the patrols. Each mob drops good silver and u get greens and grey weapons a lot but the big money is with the librams.of focus that drop in here. Clearing that whole room gives you a decent chance of getting one and it only takes about 30-45 mins to clear the place. These things sell for 3-400g and they go quick.

Accelerated Leveling Guide Levels 1-40

Accelerated Leveling Guild for Alliance:

Purpose – I’ve often been asked how I level so quickly. One day you may see me at level 30, the next I could quite possibly be 35. One specific example is going from level 30 to 50 with my Main character in less than a two week period. Many people have asked me to write a quick leveling guide, so I decided to give it a shot. This guide is not for any specific class, but specifically aimed at the Alliance Faction.

Background/Experience – Level 60 Night Elf Rouge, Level 40~ Dwarf Hunter, Level 40~ Human Warrior, Level 40~ Night Elf Hunter, Level 40~ Gnome Mage. Every other class has been played to at least level 20, Most to 30~. As such, this guide will be as specific as possible up to the level 40 area, and more general knowledge afterwards.

General Ideas – We’ll start with a Night Elf, Dwarf or Gnome (Humans are boring but I have other reasons for this I will point out later). After Doing Starter quests and Intermediate quests we’ll move on to Elwynn Forest with a level advantage. This is where the actual guide begins. ALWAYS log out in an INN or a Major City for rested exp bonus. Try to get quests that are in the same area and Multiple quests with quest items that drop off of the same type mobs.
Levels (1-6) – I personally like using a Night Elf, Dwarf or Gnome. No Matter what Race you pick, Do ALL of the starter quests in your race’s starter area. You should not leave the starter area until you are minimum level 5, but I recommend staying until you are level 6 (That gets you all of your starter skills). I’m not going to go through all the starter quests here, if you need a guide for that you’ll need more help than I can provide you. Some reasons for staying in your starter area are 1.) to build your initial Reputation, so at level 40 you don’t have to worry if you have “Honor” to buy the mount for your Race. 2.) The quests will be that much easier when you move on to Elwynn Forest. Humans can follow this guide too, but will not enjoy the level advantage of the NE, Dwarf and Gnome.

Levels (6-10) – Intermediate Quests for Gnomes and Dwarves are in Dun Morogh, questing for Night Elves at this level is in Teldrassil. Again I won’t go into specifics on each quest here, This guide starts in Elwynn Forest. In general you should get to level 10 in four hours of /played time. The one thing that will help you more than anything else here are extra bags. At level 10 make your journey to Goldshire in Elwynn Forest.

Levels (10-13) – ELYWNN FOREST Goldshire, Elywnn Forest. Here is where the meat of this guide kicks in and the secret sauce, if you will. Your going into this area with a level advantage over all the humanoids there, including 2 additional skill sets where they only have up to level 6, you have level 8 and level 10 skill sets. Get all of the quests in Goldshire: Kobold Candles, Gold Dust Exchange, The Fargodeep Mine (these are in the same area, but don’t do them yet). Go to the Stonefield Farm to the southwest of Goldshire and get the quests: Lost Necklace, Princess must Die. Go to the Maclure Vineyards to the east and speak with Billy Maclure outside of the barn about the lost necklace. He’ll tell you he wants a meat pie – kill the boars in the immediate area until you get the required amount of boar meat. Before you leave Maclure Vineyard go into the house on the east side of the farm and talk to Maybell Maclure, she’ll give you the quest “Young Lovers”. Go back to the Stonefield Farm to the West and turn in the Meat to get the Meat Pie for Billy, also go give the letter to Tommy Stonefield from Maybell Maclure. Tommy is to the west on the river bank, he’ll tell you to talk to his grandmother who will send you to talk to a guy in the Goldshire Inn – but don’t go there yet, just get the quest. Now, back to the Maclure Vineyards and give Billy the meat pie and you will get the quest “Goldtooth”. BAM!!!! This is the secret to accelerated leveling which basically just boils down to “Time Management” because now you go to the Fargodeep Mines which are between the Stonefield and Maclure farms. Go inside of the mine and demolish the entire area (remember you are doing a level 7-8 quest now at level 10 but still getting full quest exp even though it’s a breeze at this point) Inside this mine you will complete Gold Dust Exchange, Kobold Candles, Explore Fargodeep Mine AND Goldtooth. That’s FOUR quests in ONE shot. This is my basic strategy. Turn in all the quests and back in Goldshire you will now pick up quests for “Explore Jasperlode Mine, Collecting Kelp, A Fishy Peril, Further Concerns, Shipment to Stormwind ect. Now go to the immediate east of goldshire to Crystal Lake and get the Kelp for grandma, take it back to Pestle to make the potion and to back to Maclure farm to give it to Maybell, quest complete. Journey to the east on the road till you come to a bridge where Guard Thomas is. Turn in the quest from Marshal Dughan and he’ll ask you to find the bodies of two guards, the first one is straight up the river on the west side, right off the shore, the second one is in a Murloc camp. Don’t spend much time here just go get the bodies and go back to Thomas. Turn in the quest and he’ll give you follow up quests for Murloc Fins and also Protecting the Frontier (10 Prowlers and bears). Go into the Logging Camp and Talk with Sara Timberlin for the Red Linen Goods Quest and Raelan for Bundles of Trouble quest where you pick up wood piles scattered around the area. Humanoids that drop the red linen you need are in an island in the middle of the river/lake, Bears and Prowlers roam the same area around the river, northwest of the logging camp, and there is the Murloc camp where you get the Murloc Fins BAM!!!! Red Linen Goods, Bundle of Trouble, Murloc Fins, Protect the Frontier, Discover Rolf’s Fate. FIVE quests done AT THE SAME TIME. Again, Time Management. This is the KEY. Southwest to Brackwell Pumpkin Patch… go straight for Princess, ignore the two guard piglets, loot the ring and start running, the guard pigs will stop chasing. On the way back to Goldshire stop by Jasperlode mine and go in a few yards, quest complete. Back to Stonefield farm, turn in Princess and back to Goldshire to turn in Jasperlode… you just did 2 additional quests on your way back to town. At this time you should be level 12, go up to Stormwind and turn in the candles at the 2nd store inside of Stormwind, go to the dwarf district and turn in the quest for Loch Modan and get your skills from the trainer. You should have picked up the quest for Westbrook Garrison needs Help. Go to Westbrook Garrison and get the quest for the Gnoll armbands and Hogger which are just to the north of the garrison. At this point you should be able to solo Hogger. Turn in the quests at Westbrook and Goldshire and get the quest to go to Sentinel Hill in Westfall. Congratulations – Your done with Elywnn Forest in RECORD time. Again, it’s all about getting grouped quests in a common area with common mobs. Time Management.

Levels (13-16) – WESTFALL Going into Westfall you should get quests at the first two NPCs then go to the house on the way to Sentinel Hill and finally to Sent Hill. At these three locations you should have picked up quests: Poor Old Blanchy, Patrolling Westfall, Goretusk Liver Pie, Red Leather Bandanas, The Forgotten Heirloom, Westfall Stew, The Killing Fields and Peoples Militia. Between the Jansen Stead and Furlbrow’s Pumpkin Farm area ALONE you can go back and forth, in that same area, and get Vulture Meat, Boar Liver and Snout, Harvest Reapers and Gnoll Camps are all around. The watch of Forgotten Heirloom is in the house just north of the farm on the stead and the Murloc eyes are just down the hill on the coast. Just West of the Stead is the Jangolode Mine where you’ll find the Smugglers and Trappers for the People Milita who also drop the Red Leather Bandanas!!! Don’t forget to pickup the bags of Oats that are laying around all three locations and before you know it you have Completed EIGHT QUESTS all at once… TIME MANAGEMENT. You will have most certainly leveled at this point, turn in at Sentinel Hill get the flight path and go to Stormwind to skill up. While there visit Baros Alexton in the Cathedral District and get the quest to find his Compass in his old house in Westfall, you should have Peoples Militia part 2 also. Go to the Alexton Farm in west Westfall for the Pillager’s and Looters. The compass is in a chest in the burnt down house south of the farm. Go turn these and your done for now with Westfall… we’ll be back here soon but now we’re off to Loch Modan.

Levels (16-18) – LOCH MODANAfter turning in the box you’ve had for several levels to Stormpike he’ll give you another quest for Silver Stream Mine. Don’t do it yet, first go to Thelsamar and get flight path in addition to other quests. By now you have the basic Idea… Getting Quests Involving same type mobs or mobs in the same area. Group them together to reduce the amount of times you go back and forth between same mobs and same area. It’s all about TIME MANAGEMENT. Something to remember is that after you leave Elywnn Forest that each area will have a level range and you’ll come to a point where the quests are too hard for your level. Don’t feel like you have to complete one area completely before you go to the next area. It will be necessary to move on to other areas then go back to ones you have been before. In Loch Modan, for instance, You’ll get a quest from Stompike for the Silver Stream Mine and also from Thelsamar you’ll get a quest for Silver Stream and additional quest for cooking ingredients which can ALL be found by Silver Stream. Get all these quests before you go there so you don’t make 3 separate trips… TIME MANAGEMENT.

Now that you get the general idea behind my technique (which should be common sense anyway), I’ll give you a breakdown of where I would quest and at what levels. I don’t think you need me to go through quest by quest, that’s what http://www.thottbot.com and http://wow.allakhazam.com are for.

Levels 1-6Night Elves = ShadowglenGnomes & Dwarves = Coldridge MountainsHumans = Northshire (but not recommended*)
Levels 6-10Night Elves = TeldrassilGnomes & Dwarves = Dun MoroghHumans = Elwynn Forest (but not recommended*)
*As human your going to be behind the leveling curve of the other three races and the quests are going to be harder… Plus they are boring.
Levels 10-13 = ELWYNN FOREST(Detailed Above)
Levels 13-16 = WESTFALL(Detailed Above)
Levels 16-18 = LOCH MODAN(Everything from Thelsamar, Ironbands Excavation Site and the Farstrider Lodge… Don’t forget Bingles on the southeast side of Loch Modan Lake. SKIP Dark Threat Looms, Mercenaries and Wanted:Chok’sul for now – come back to those later.)
Levels 18-20 = LAKESHIRE(There are several level 15-20 quests in Lakeshire, starting with the guard on the road to Elwynn Forest, The kid with the lost necklace on the pier, lost toolbox ect. Look for quests: The Baying of Gnolls, A Free Lunch, Assessing the Threat, Redridge Goulash, Murloc Bounty, Underbelly Scales, Price of Shoes… there are a ton of quest that you can do but SKIP WANTED:Lt Fangore, WANTED:Gath’ilzogg, Shadow Magic, Solomon’s Law, an Unwelcome Guest basically all the Elite and/or level 20+ quests.)

Levels 20-22 = WESTFALL, DEADMINES & LOCH MODAN 2(Basically you left after the 2nd part of People’s Militia from westfall, now go do part 3 in the southern Mountains at Dagger Hills, that line of quest leads into the “messenger” and the escort of the Defias spy to locate the Deadmines entrance. Go to the top of Sentinal Hill and get the quest for Wool bandanas and don’t forget to get the quest for Sprocket at the Dwarven District. You should now have three quests for Deadmines. After Deadmines go back to Loch Modan and do Mercenaries, WANTED:Chok’sul and finally “A Dark Threat Looms” located on the middle of the bridge/dam at north Loch Modan.)

Levels 22-25 = DUSKWOOD(Deliveries to Sven, Dusky Crab Cakes, Eight Legged Menaces, Four Legged Menaces, Ghost Hair Thread, Look to the Stars, Night Watch ect… Basically remember the underlined theory here – TIME MANAGEMENT. There are a lot of quests that are in the same area here if you can manage to get them all before you start, instead of going back and forth several times. Start in Darkshire, head west on the road and grab quest for Spiders, hit Jitters at south end of Raven Hill then Sven on the Northwest coast… head straight east for Abercrombie, then before doing those quest go back to the town for turn in and get follow up quest because dusty crab cake parts drop off of spiders which you need for Eight Legged Menaces.. Goul Ribs drop off of the Gouls which drop stuff for zombie juice (rot blossoms) and also Plauge Spreaders… That’s 3 quests in one, every quest ties into ATLEAST one or two other quests – TIME MANAGEMENT. Do every quest here including all but… SKIP the last Worgen in the woods, the last part of Stalvan, Mor’Ladim, Bride of the Embalmer, Last part of Morben’Fel and Last part of Look to the Stars.)

Levels 25-27 = LAKESHIRE 2Back to Lakeshire for the quests we stopped at. Lt. Fangore, The Elites Thrail’zun & Gathil’zogg, Blackrock Champions and the Corpral Keeshan Escort Quest. Lakeshire should be totally complete at this stage.

Levels 27-30 = WETLANDSGet all the quests in town, there is a guy in the front of the keep and a guy at the top floor of the keep, also on the way out of Menethil Harbor there is a guy on the bridge with quest. You should have Young Croclisk Skin, Digging through the ooze and on the way out the quest to find the excavation site. You’ll have a quest for Murlocs and the Murloc Boss “Gobbler” these should all be an ease at this level but remember your getting full exp reward. Order of quests here is: Murlocs, Young Croclisks, Sida’s Bag, Greenwarden which is in the greenbelt area approximately in the middle of Wetlands map. He’ll give you a quest to kill Gnolls which are to the south on the way to Loch Modan on the left side of the road before the exit out of Wetlands, kill those guys and go back to turn in to Greenwarden, get next quests for the Fire Taboo (Flints). Kill the Gnolls just west of the Greenwarden for those and go back to get the 3rd and last Greenwarder quest for the swamp elementals. ONLY then go back to Men. Harbor to turn in quests. On the way back to Men Harbor hit the Orc Camp for the Blood warbanners, and for the Excavation Site, First Raptors are by Menethil Harbor before you enter the town on the left side. Turn Sida’s bag, The Young Crocs and the Warbanners and first Murloc quest. You should get follow up quests for the 2nd Murloc quest (finding a statue in a crate at one of the murloc camps), Get LARGE Croclisk Skins just north of the Murloc camps, Also in this same area you’ll start to see the Elemental Swamp Creatures. Go back to the Excavation site and turn in quest and get 2nd raptor quest with the “Artifacts” quest. You can kill the 2nd types of Raptors while picking up the Artifacts (Fat Vase, Skinny Vase, Pile of Dirt and Tomb)… Turn those in right away and get the quest to kill the boss Raptor (non-elite). Further down the road fight your way back into the Orc Camp to the Catapults and use the quest item to burn them… this will give you the follow-up quest automatically for Nek’rosh, the boss orc. You WILL need a team for this. While in that same area turn in the final Greenwarden Quest. Before you leave wetlands you will do the Cursed Crew Line and the Dark Iron Wars Line last. You have to do Dark Iron Wars to get the Kam Deepfury Kill Quest in the Stocades.

Levels 30-32 = STOCKADESInstance in Stormwind, you can actually do this quest earlier but if you want to do all SIX quests at the same time you’ll have to wait until you do Dark Iron Wars. And the theme of this guide is Effeciency. TIME MANAGEMENT. You only WANT to go one time. From the stockades it’s self you should have Quell the Uprising and Bazil Thread. From the old town in Stormwind you need to get the quest “The color of Blood.” From Lakeshire you should have “What comes around” from Darkshire you should have “Crime and Punishment” and Finally from Wetlands you should have “The Fury Runs Deep.”
Levels 22-30 = DUSKWOOD–WETLANDS–DUSKWOOD2–WETLANDS2 What this means is that you may level in duskwood to 23 and see that the next quest is a tad too hard and you should go to wetlands and do the easy quests til they become a “tad” to hard… you may make several trips back and forth between duskwood and wetlands, but you’ll find that you’ll save more time that way instead of trying to fight your way through the harder quests. Again, don’t feel like you have to finish all the quests in one area before you move to the next, YOU CAN ALWAYS GO BACK. Most of the time that turns out to be the most time efficient anyway. It is at this time, after the stockades, that you will go back to Darkshire and finish the quests you left – basically the level 30 plus elite quests: Mor’Ladim, Morbent Fel, Stalvan & the Last Part of the “Looking to the Stars”. Also if you have not done the last part of Worgen in the Woods.

Levels 32-34 = DESOLACE (NIJEL’S POINT) also HILLSBRADThis is the time to make the hike to Nijel’s point. Make sure to get all the flight paths on the way. Also, before you go stop at the Ironforge explorer’s league for the Reagents Quest. Get the quests at Nijel’s point. You can only get one of the Centaur quests so pick “Strange Alliance” It’s an Easier line that Brutal Politics and you can do it at the same time as “Down the Scarlet Path” For quest specific information look it up on the websites mentioned above but basically you have to kill Demons in the Northeast, head a bit south for the first Centaur tribe for the Ears, Go west to a hut before the Kodo Graveyard and get the Kodo Bones Quest and inside the graveyard is a quest for Ghost-o-plasm in same area as “Down the Scarlet Path”. Continue northwest to the shore there is a lighthouse, at the base you’ll see another quest for scepter of light (remember that shipwreck quest… save it we’ll come back to it). Go to Thunder Fortress on the north side, on the road you’ll find the quest item by a broken down wagon. Go back up to Nijel’s Point to turn in the quests and get follow ups for Reageants and Vahlarriel’s Search. Also if your 34 by now you should to the 2nd floor of the Inn and get “Down The Scarlet Path” the pre-quest for Scarlet Monastery. Go back to Thunderaxe Fortress and do Vahlarriel’s Quest and Scepter of Light then go to the Kodo graveyard for Kodobones quest. Make sure you kill scorpian’s and Aged Kodo’s for the 2nd part of the Reagents Quest while your doing this. Turn in the Kodo Bones quest and go back to the Northwest Shore. On the shore to the south of the light house on the beach is a wrecked rowboat with quest item. You have to kill the lobsters and the Nagas for the two keys but before you go to the island, turn in the scepter because his follow up quest is on the same island!! TIME MANAGEMENT. After turning in that quest, off to the Skeletal Ravagers area. Kill the 30 Skeletons and also do the Ghost-o-plasm, go to the Kodo graveyard and turn in the Ghost-o-plasm then finally back up to Nijel’s Point to turn in remaining quests. The last part of Reagents is a lvl 40 quest that you can go back to.
Levels 34-36 = SHIMMERING FLATSYes you heard me. At the race track you can pick up SIX green/yellow quests. They are all “kill” quests and a pickup quest. If you go to the far east wall of shimmering flats the horde will never know you are there. The quests are CRAZY easy and you get hella experience from the kills. There is a kill scorpion quest for item, turtles for items, kill Baslisks, and Vultures, also there is a quest to pick auto parts up off the ground. THAT’S FIVE QUESTS ALL IN THE SAME AREA. Awesome easy exp. The sixth quest is to drop something off at Nessingwary in STV (stranglethorn valley).DO NOT Pass this easy exp off. It’s well worth the journey and you can get Gagetztan Flight Path anyway so your definitely not wasting a trip.

Levels 36-40+ = STV & Scarlet MonasteryStart in Stranglethorn Valley (stv). Make sure to get all the quests in the Rebel Camp, Nessingwary’s Camp and Booty Bay. You can actually start in STV in the low 30s but the horde will eat you alive (literally). If you wait til level 35/36 the starting quests are easier, you still get full exp reward and you can defend yourself against oncoming horde (unless it’s level 60s there just to gank people – it happens). In between quests at STV you can do Scarlet Monastery runs. You should have atleast 2 quests for SM. Also if you feel your not quite ready for STV you can do some intermediate questing in Hillsbrad (also horde infested but not as bad as STV).

I may get more detailed on each area later… But this will have to do for now. Most of it is common sense, but I tried to drive a common theme. Do multiple quests in the same area involving the same type of mobs or multiple quest items that drop off the same type of mob. TIME MANAGEMENT and Efficiency is the Key to Accelerated Leveling. My mage is nearly level 37 with only a few days /played time. ENJOY.

Making 1000 Gold In One Day

Getting your epic mount can seem a very hard task when you figure you have to spend 800 gold just for one item, unless you're a warlock or paladin of course , but it's really not.

It's actually much easier than you think, and something that you may actually never have thought of.

I don't remember where I heard this, but it WORKS VERY WELL.
What you want to do is first head to felwood which is east of Darkshore.

Here you will find Withered Protectors: http://www.thottbot.com/?n=6474and Warpwood Shredders: http://www.thottbot.com/?n=6486
The protectors have, according to thottbot, a 3% chance of dropping major healing potions, but I found it to be more in the range of 10%.On my server (Skullcrusher) one major healing potion sells on the AH for 1g.

In addition to dropping potions, they also drop high-level herbs that can sell on the AH for ~ 10g for a stack of 20.

Another way to make good money......ENGINEERING.
This is actually pretty simple:High lvl explosives.
People actually buy things such as:Small Bronze Bomb http://www.thotbott.com/?i=5418 for a good amount of money, way more than the mats cost on the AH.Also: Heavy Dynamite http://www.thotbott.com/?i=5421

The mats for these are relatively inexpensive, and the bombs and dynamite sell fast! (On my server anyways). People buy the dynamite for extra dps, and the bombs for stunning people.
All you do is buy a stack of 20 wool cloth, which seems to have skyrocketed to about 1g the past couple of months and a stack of 20 stones. Make that blasting powder and enjoy!
You can usually make about a 5-6g profit on the dynamite/bombs after being sold on the AH.
I made ~ 1000g in a week

Plan Now, Get Ridicously Rich In BC Exp

Find GM's/Hackers FAST

Very easy, all you do is type /who gm island, and you'll get a list of players, who are either gms or hackers.....i found this out from cosmos, i don't see any good uses right now, but if you can think of something, go for it

1000 Gold Per Hour As A Rogue

I have come to understand that this is not common knowledge to all rogues and I have yet to see it on any site upon performing multiple searches.

This can be soloed for about 200G per hour or done with 2 rogues for about 1000G.
I do this solo but in fairness I have exceptional gear. I'm sure it could be done with good blue gear. If you have problems with this, get a partner to help you. Frankly, as much money as this can make you, it wouldn't be a horrible crime to complely stock up on greater fire protection pots, elixir of mongoose, giant potions, etc. A death will cost you about 6 minutes and time is money.

You will also need improved sap. 100G worth of respeccing is a small price to pay for a weekend of making thousands.

On to the solo strategy:

In Lower Blackrock Spire you want to stealth to the right in the same manner as you would normally clear the dungeon. You'll come around to the left after dropping off the first ledge and work your way to two doors (one after the other) that are very close to each other and have roaming mobs going through them. After you pass the second door, stop. To your right you should see a ledge. Across from that ledge is another ledge where you will see a bunch of ogres. If you move towards that ledge and look down you will see a platform that you can jump onto. Jump to it. Now move forward and you will see another platform. Jump to it. Lastly you will jump to the ground floor where you will see several tents. When you jump down, fall, don't jump or it will break your stealth. Watch out for roaming mobs. You don't want to fall on them.
Continue on until you get to the hill where the spiders are. As soon as you reach this hill you will come to a nook on your right that most groups that do LBRS skip. In that nook you will see three groups of mobs. To the left are 3 mobs, to the right are 3 mobs and in the back right corner are 2 mobs. The two groups of 3 are not linked but all 6 will aggro if you pull one because the two groups are too close together.

Behold my brilliant artwork!: http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h216/cyberrico/LBRS.jpg
What you want is one of the two mobs in the back. One of these mobs is a Blackrock Pyromancer. He is what you will want to kill, so sap the other guy and go up the little hill behind you. Ranged pull the pyromancer. Just before he gets in range hit evasion and kill him as quickly as possible. He will flee just before he dies, so crippling poison is your friend. You could use kidney shot just before he gets to 20% life but why waste it on a fleeing mob?

As soon as you kill him, loot him and vanish.

Duo Strategy

Kill the group in the back in the same manner but don't waste your vanish. Two rogues shouls make extremely short work of both mobs. Heal up, wait for your curses and such to fade and get ready for some big packs.

The problem with the next pull is that you have 6 mobs to deal with. If the two "inside mobs" are both Pyromancers, dump this pull and reset. The only way you can continue is to reset, fight 4 elits at the same time or kill a couple, die and come back to an easier pull. In any other case, you want to sap "inside mob1" or inside mob2". If one of them is a pyromancer, don't sap it, sap the other one and have your partner sap one of the other mobs in sapped mob's group. See this diagram: http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h216/cyberrico/th_LBRS2.jpg

Kill the unsapped pyromancer and vanish.

The duo strat is complicated. You will find that there are several configurations to deal with. I prefer to solo but I make a ton of money if I duo all of the mobs.

Your prize is this: http://www.thottbot.com/index.cgi?i=28217

It is one of the best robes that a mage can find if he doesn't raid and that is more than 99% of the mage population. Even raiding mages have bought these from me as gaining archanist or something similar isn't necessarily an overnight process for a new raider. The best part of this robe is that it's bind on pickup. The pattern is bind on use but the robe binds when you make it, so the crafter can only make it for himself.

Yes the downside is that the mage has to be a 300 tailor. I have sold this pattern to 100 people that picked up tailoring just to make this robe. Many dumped tailoring after making it.
These patterns sell for about 200 gold on my server. I've found and sold as many as 5 in a day.
Even better is this http://www.thottbot.com/index.cgi?i=16100

They sell for 300-400 gold on my server. They don't drop nearly as often as the robe pattern does but it's a nice payday when they do. I also find a ton of blues (shadowcraft, valor, etc). Those always sell pretty nicely.

My worst one hour session was about 70 gold. My best was 1000 gold (3 patterns, 1 fire recipie and 2 blues).

Again, if you're having trouble with the solo strat, get a partner. Two rogues in green gear can easily handle the solo strat.

Breakfast Topic: Gold Buying And You

The other night one of my WoW buddies told me about a guy in his guild that bought 1000 gold to purchase his epic mount, which, I imagine, is a lot more common than I would care to believe. The guy was apparently not the brightest, as he went ahead and bragged about doing so in guild chat. Needless to say, guild drama erupted, and the guy ended up quitting the guild before he was forced out.

On one hand, bragging about the purchase was a pretty stupid move as it almost certainly would rub some people the wrong way. On the other...these gold sites don't stay in business because one guy buys his epic mount. I don't have any hard evidence to back me up, but I would guess thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people buy gold everyday. Perhaps gold buying has become so prevalent that people just don't think it is wrong anymore.

I have never bought gold myself. I don't really look on it as the worst offense imaginable, but I don't think it is exactly playing fair either. Have you ever bought gold? Know anyone who has his Visa card on file at a gold selling site? Are you ever tempted to buy?
